Linda Painter
Linda and her husband, Phil, graduated from Morton West High School. Linda received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Winona State University in Minnesota. As a pediatric nurse, Painter is an advocate for the physical, psychological and emotional benefits that the outdoors and unstructured play provide children.
Linda
is married to Dr. Phil Painter. They have 3 grown
children and have lived in DuPage County for over 30 years. They moved down the
street from Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve to be near open space where the
Painter family enjoys hiking, biking, cross country skiing and walking dogs. The Painters are active members of Sts. Peter and Paul Church where
they enjoy singing in the choir.
Linda
began going to DuPage County Forest Preserve meetings to encourage the
completion of the 10 mile bike path in Waterfall Glen and to get the forest
preserve staff to place several picnic tables and benches along the bike
path making the preserve a little more
family friendly. She is currently serving as a Commissioner for the
Forest Preserve District of DuPage County and
is working to make all the forest preserves in DuPage County more accessible
and enjoyable for the residents.
