Welcome!
I was proud to be part of the ribbon cutting ceremony officially opening our newest DuPage Forest Preserve Dog Park, located in Oldfield Oaks Forest Preserve. Over the past few years I have been diligently working with the community and our staff to bring this project to completion and am very proud of how it turned out.

Thank you for visiting my website and taking an interest in
what happens with the DuPage County Forest Preserves. Open space is vital
to DuPage County. Our Forest Preserves are one of our greatest assets.
We need to preserve, expand and protect them for future generations.
The
health and well-being of DuPage County residents can be improved by
utilizing our forest preserves to their greatest extent. For residents to be
able to appreciate the DuPage County Forest Preserves, the preserves have to
be accessible and usable while keeping them in as close to a natural state
as possible.
We
need to promote and expand educational programs in our forest preserves.
It is especially important to encourage our children to spend more time outdoors.
With all the options young people have to fill their time we
need to show them the value and benefits that can be obtained by utilizing
the programs of the forest preserve.
As your Commissioner
for District 3, I promise to
listen to your views and ideas. I believe we can
accomplish many great improvements to the forest preserve while maintaining
fiscal responsibility and accountability. I look forward to hearing
from you with your ideas, concerns, and questions as to how we can make the
forest preserve better for everyone.
Please visit my feedback page
and send me a comment or suggestion.
Sincerely,
Linda Painter,
Forest Preserve Commissioner
District 3 DuPage County
